Pulsena Plus provides constant and fully adjustable pulsatile operation, giving users direct control over the pump cycle. Pulsena Pro adds a physiological mode in which the waveform automatically adapts based on the selected heart rate, as well as integrated heating for simulation at and above body temperature. Pro is therefore designed for applications where physiological conditions and maximum realism are especially important.

Depending on the operating mode, Pulsena allows direct adjustment of heart rate, systolic and diastolic pressure, and systolic phase. In physiological mode on Pulsena Pro, the user only selects the desired BPM and the system automatically adapts the remaining waveform parameters to generate a physiological pressure profile.

Pulsena generates controlled constant or pulsatile circulation for vascular and procedural simulation. It can reproduce adjustable pressure and flow conditions and, with Pulsena Pro, physiological pressure waveforms and heated fluid conditions. The system is designed to work with different anatomies, simulator platforms and experimental setups.

Pulsena uses CPC self-sealing couplings for fast and clean setup changes. Modules and tubing can be disconnected with minimal fluid loss, making it easy to switch between different anatomies and simulation configurations without draining the complete system.

Each Pulsena undergoes a diligent end-of-line production test covering hydraulics, electronics, waveform performance, temperature measurement and system functionality. For Pulsena Pro, physiological waveform performance is additionally verified across multiple heart rates before the unit passes production testing.

Pulsena is designed for water and water-based blood-mimicking fluids, including glycerol-based solutions. Other compatible fluids can also be used, depending on the application.
